Finite difference method for electric field optimization in high voltage power transformer bushings using engineering simulation and 3D design program

The electric field optimization minimizing the strength on an electrode surface and providing its uniformity is important in designing high voltage power transformer bushings other apparatus from viewpoint of efficient utilization space. bushing with cylinder system has been designed tested this investigation. It was found that insulation method most factor to lower streamer initiation voltage. optimized design uses both internal external elements for stress grading at critical parts bushing. Applying theory based charge simulation method, author developed a computation program automatic 3D dielectric axisymmetric field. results realized some excellent profiles uniform distribution. Moreover, discrepancy dimensional profile caused by applying it discussed. Then new distribution obtained using optimization.
